1. Muliwai Trail (State) – Eighteen-mile long, steep, and rugged foot trail up west cliff of Waipi`o Valley to Waimanu Valley. Hiking and camping (permit required), and nature study. Toilet facilities in Waimanu Valley only. Hazardous footing, cliffs, and weather. No drinking water. More information is available at the State of Hawai`i Department of Land and Natural Resources, Na Ala Hele Trail and Access System website or call (808) 974-4221 for camping information and permits.

2. Waipi`o Valley – Black sand beach and fresh water stream. Swimming, hiking, surfing, and fishing. Portable toilets, otherwise undeveloped. Hazardous currents, waves, flooding, and cliffs. Access to valley via county road from Honoka`a-Waipi`o Road. Private property from valley floor to beach area.

3. Waipi`o Valley Lookout (County) – Spectacular view of Waipi`o Valley, beach and ocean from county park located atop the bluff at the end of Honoka`a-Waipi`o Road. Picnicking. Restrooms, picnic pavilion, and picnic tables. Hazardous cliffs.
