Inspection Request

The form will assist in gathering all the information needed for your inspection request.  Once completed and submitted it will send an email to the inspector that your request will be assigned to.  Your inspector will then be able to schedule your request.

For your convenience you can bookmark the online inspection request form for direct access.

Upon issuance of a permit, the name of the inspector that would be completing the inspections was included along with his or her contact information.

If you need to leave a voicemail for your inspector, please speak slowly and clearly. Also be sure to state the following information:

  1. Name
  2. Phone Number
  3. Permit Number
  4. Type of Inspection Requested
  5. Requested date of Inspection
  6. If applicable, include gate code information and/or location of gate key

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A SCHEDULED INSPECTION, PLEASE CALL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (At the very latest, the day prior to the date of scheduled inspection) TO INFORM YOUR INSPECTOR.  This will save you from being charged a $50 reinspection fee as well as saving the inspector’s time and gas.

Building Inspections

The following phases of construction are required to be inspected by the Building Division. Please notify the inspector at least 48 hours prior to each desired inspection.
(A FEE OF $50 PER INSPECTION MAY BE ASSESSED WHEN THE REQUESTED PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION IS NOT COMPLETE OR READY)

  1. FOUNDATION/SLAB INSPECTION - Termite treatment certificate. After footing excavations are complete and required reinforcing steel forms are in place.
    After all in-slab or under-floor ancillary items are in place. (This would include the approval of electrical ground/underground and plumbing concrete slab inspections.)
  2. FRAME INSPECTION - After the roof, all framing, fire blocking, bracing, and metal connectors are in place; all pipes, chimneys and vents are completed; and the rough electrical, plumbing or mechanical installations are approved.
  3. LATHING INSPECTION - After all lathing and gypsum board, interior and exterior, in construction required to be fire-resistive is in place but before gypsum board joints and fasteners are taped and finished.
  4. FINAL INSPECTION - After finish grading and the building is completed and ready for occupancy.
    (NOTE: Plumbing and Electrical Final Inspections must be completed prior to Building Final)
  5. In addition to the required inspections specified above, the Building Official may require other inspections to ascertain compliance with applicable building regulations.

Plumbing Inspections

(A FEE OF $50 PER INSPECTION MAY BE ASSESSED WHEN THE REQUESTED PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION IS NOT COMPLETE OR READY)

  1. All plumbing, gas and drainage systems must be inspected before being concealed.
  2. Final inspection must be made after all work required by the plumbing permit is complete.

Electrical Inspections
