Wailuku drive in downtown Hilo is open to motorists

Wailuku drive in downtown Hilo from Kamehameha Avenue to Keawe Street (back of Hilo Armory) reopened this afternoon to all motorists.  The road was closed late yesterday afternoon for safety reasons due to damaged glass on the Wailuku Drive side of the Hilo Armory.

The contractor boarded the windowpane at Hilo Armory and it is safe to reopen the road.  The contractor will remove and replace the glass after the July 4th holiday.
