Seeking Recently Naturalized U.S. Citizens

The County of Hawai‘i’s Immigration Information Office is seeking names of those who have taken the oath of U.S. Citizenship from September 2016 to September 2017. These individuals will be honored at the upcoming Citizenship Day ceremony on Friday, September 15, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at the Aunty Sally Kaleohano Lu‘au Hale in Hilo.

September 17 is Citizenship Day, a Federal holiday established by Congress in 2004. It is celebrated throughout the country as a day to honor and celebrate he privileges and responsibilities of U.S. Citizenship. It also serves as a means for American citizens to express their pride in citizenship.

Those who were naturalized by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), in Honolulu from September 2016 to September 2017 are encouraged to participate in this auspicious ceremony.
