Boards and Commissions 

 

The County of Hawaiʻi Boards and Commissions provides an opportunity for citizens to have a voice in their government and influence decisions that shape the quality of life for Hawaiʻi Island residents.

Volunteers who serve on our County of Hawaiʻi boards and commissions are community oriented and community minded. These are our local leaders and knowledgeable resources who add value to our County. These value-added volunteers give of their time and talent to serve in these important roles. Mahalo to all members of the past and present who choose to take on this Kuleana to ensure our Hawaiʻi Island residents thrive and succeed.

Pursuant to Act 220, Session Laws of Hawai‘i 2021, which amended the Sunshine Law to allow meetings to be remotely conducted online, effective January 1, 2022, Kailua Village Design Commission meetings will be held online, and the location listed below is open to the public to provide testimony and/or observe the online meeting.

In-person Location:  West Hawai'i Civic Center, Planning Department Conference Room, Building E, 2nd Floor, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i

Live Stream Video: The public will be able to observe the meeting from the YouTube live stream.

Statements from the Public:  Written testimony on any items on the agenda may be submitted by mail/email or in person.  Please see the agenda for more information on submitting written testimony.  The public may provide verbal testimony at the meeting in person, via phone-call (808-323-4770) or via Zoom.  To testify via Zoom, please register online prior to the meeting.
