The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Parks and Recreation reminds the public of upcoming deadlines for participation in the East Hawaiʻi Novice Girls Division of the Jr. WNBA basketball league.

Registration is open until Oct. 29, and interested players are encouraged to sign up. The Novice Girls Division season is Dec. 1-Feb. 26. The division has two age groups: Novice Girls Elementary (3rd-5th grade) and Novice Girls Intermediate (6th-8th Grade).

In addition, a mandatory meeting for coaches and team representatives will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Lūʻau Hale in Hilo.
