The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation announces that Gilbert Carvalho Park will be closed Thursday, Oct. 23 and Friday, Oct. 24 for termite fumigation of the park’s gymnasium.

Gilbert Carvalho Park is located at 850 Waianuenue Ave. in Hilo and includes Pi‘ihonua Gymnasium.  

The park and gym are scheduled to reopen Saturday, Oct. 25.  

Regular park hours are 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
