Post Date:03/19/2020 8:41 AM
As part of their continued efforts to improve pedestrian safety island wide, the County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works Traffic Division will install pedestrian crosswalk flashers on Ali‘i Drive at Banyan Mart / surf spot in Kailua-Kona. The work is slated to be done Tuesday March 24, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., weather conditions permitting.

One lane of traffic will be closed intermittently while the safety improvements are made. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the work zone and special duty officers will be on site to direct traffic.

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.

If there are any questions or concerns, please call the Traffic Division at 961-8341.
