Be aware that other beaches may close without notice.
County Parks and Recreation reports the following:
- Kahalu‘u Beach Park will remained closed through the weekend. Equipment will need to be brought in to clean up.
- Kohanaiki will remain closed through the weekend. Surf came up through campsites and debris will need to be cleared in the park and across the road. All permit holders have been notified.
- Mahukona Wharf will remain closed as long as there is high surf coming up on the wharf.
- La‘aloa Park (Magic Sands) - Ocean Safety personnel recommended closure for today. Parks and Rec and Ocean Safety Personnel will monitor until conditions allow for the park to be reopened.
