Any non-profit organizations in Hilo seeking financial support, are eligible to apply for District 2 Contingency Relief Funds (CRF). Each Council Member is appropriated a set amount of funds per fiscal year to support community events and projects that weren't already included in our operating budget. These small grants (between $500 - $5,000) may only be used for a public purpose. Funds disbursed to any non-profit must demonstrate a benefit to the people of Hawaiʻi County and be consistent with county-related services.
