Concern and Complaint Services

The County of Hawai'i accepts complaints on behalf of it's various departments and agencies.

For issues of a human resources nature, we encourage employees to exhaust all stated policy and procedure directives and attempt to resolve issues, where possible, through the department with the individuals involved.  However, the department invites written complaints together with supporting documentation that involves alleged violations of the laws and rules administered by the department.

Complaint Services rely largely on the cooperation of both parties to dispute.  Often, complaints are resolved through this process.  Complaints may lead to audits, or research depending on the nature of the complaint.
