All properly registered voters will automatically receive their ballot approximately 18 days prior to the election. If your voter registration is up to date, no further action is required.

2020 Election Timeline

February 2020 - Candidate Filing to begin February 3, 2020

The Elections Division Offices in Hilo and Kona will be open for candidates who wish to pull and file nomination papers for the 2020 elections. Please allow at least 1 hour for clerks to issue or file nomination papers. If you are pulling or filing nomination papers in Kona please schedule an appointment with the Kona Elections Satellite Office.

2020 - Primary Election Voter Registration Deadline: July 9, 2020

The Primary Election registration deadline is Thursday, July 9, 2020. In order to vote in the Congressional, State and County races, you need to be registered.
